Property valuation for disputes and litigation

We provide a professional opinion of property value where valuation is a relevant technical matter in a dispute or case. The scope, valuation date, purpose and intended users are defined clearly.

When may a valuation be required?

A dispute may concern the value of a real estate asset or related rights, or a court or party may need an independent opinion of value for a specified assignment.

Assignments through Khibrah

Art of Value is registered on the Ministry of Justice's Khibrah platform for real estate valuation expertise. Court expert appointments follow the platform's and judicial authority's procedures.

How the assignment works

  1. Agree the purpose, intended users, basis of value, valuation date and scope.
  2. Review property information and available documents.
  3. Inspect the property as required and analyse relevant market evidence.
  4. Select and apply appropriate valuation methods.
  5. Prepare a report documenting assumptions, reasoning and the opinion of value.

Information supporting the scope

Provide property and ownership information, the location, purpose, required valuation date, and available appointment decisions or other assignment documents. Further information may be requested where relevant.

What the report includes

The assignment scope, basis and date of value, property information, relevant assumptions, methodology, evidence and professional opinion within the limits of the appointment.

The valuer's role

A valuation report provides a professional opinion of property value. It does not replace legal advice or a judicial decision.
